This is the week for lovers of pets and lovers of uncluttered closets to support PAWS – People for Animal Welfare Society – in its annual fundraiser garage sale.
The sale is slated for Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 to 11 am at Clover Hall at the Greene County Fairgrounds. For a small fee, shoppers can take a “sneak peek” to buy on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm.
PAWS volunteers will accept donations for the garage sale at Clover Hall this week until noon on Thursday. Clothing that is in good condition will be accepted as well as clean items and small appliances in working order. Please, no large appliances, TVs, computers or furniture in poor repair.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to benefit animals in Greene County, including veterinary services and educational programs.
Donors who have items that need to be picked up call call Cheryl at 515-370-1213 or Marilyn at 515-370-1269. “We can always use volunteers to help sort and/or mark items,” Cheryl said.
